Avril Blackwood

I’m Avril Blackwood, a GOD Talks Certified Coach and a SIW Certified Professional Coach dedicated to empowering leaders, public servants, and emerging politicians to hear GOD clearly, lead with purpose and serve with integrity.
For thirty years, I served as a New York State Licensed Educator and TESOL instructor, working with children and families from every culture, language, and faith background. My classroom was a place of encouragement, creativity, and transformation – where patience, empathy and trust became a way of life. I learned to listen deeply, see strengths, and guide individuals toward their potential—these skills that now form the heart of my coaching.
My journey has always been rooted in service. I’ve mentored high-school college bound teens, advocated and lobbied for individuals with disabilities and special needs, served on organizational boards, volunteered with community organizations, and contributed to church ministry teams including Pastoral Care. I am also an active member of my town’s GOP Committee and the Monroe County Federated Republican Women, where I support civic engagement and leadership development.
